Our goal in this lesson is to become familiar and comfortable with painting the figure. We start with a Drill oriented towards painting figures with simple poses. Then we incorporate these figures into a scene of the farmersmarket in Sarlat - the large medieval city in the Dordogne,

In this demonstration I show an approach I find practical which is to create the scene much as a stage director .

1- We start the backdrop of Sarlat

2 - We create the stage of canopies and stalls
